Agnes Kagure understands Nairobi because Nairobi is part of her story. Her journey began far from comfort and privilege. As a young woman, she worked as a housegirl — learning early that dignity is not given by status, but carried through hard work, discipline, faith and resilience.
From there she entered the insurance sector as a junior salesperson, starting at the bottom and learning the value of persistence, trust and human connection. Step by step, client by client, she rose through the ranks until she reached the pinnacle of the industry.
That is why Agnes knows what it means to work hard, build from the ground up, support families, and keep going when the road is difficult. She has seen how Nairobi can reward hard work — and she has seen how it can frustrate honest effort.
I am running because Nairobi has reached a point where ordinary people are paying too much for broken systems. Families pay more because movement is slow. Traders pay more because business costs are high. Residents pay more because water is unreliable. This is not normal — and it is not acceptable.
I AM RUNNING FOR…
MY PROMISE — A NAIROBI WHERE:
NAIROBI NI YETU.
Five pillars. Built from 12,000+ conversations in jua kali sheds, churches, mosques, matatu stages and tower boardrooms.

End rationing through smart distribution, county-wide audits and a 24-hour water hotline. Every estate, every kiosk, every day.

SME finance, jua-kali parks, and digital skills for every youth in every ward.

Lighting, CCTV and community policing across all 85 wards. Boots on the street.

24/7 emergency cover. Maternal care. Drugs you can actually find.

Smart traffic. Open data. e-Permits in 5 minutes. The county that finally moves at the speed of its people.
Nairobi does not need more speeches. Nairobi needs working systems — built around the daily struggles of ordinary residents.
Making small businesses more profitable
Making Nairobi cheaper to live in
Roads, rail, walking and order
Fair water for every Nairobi resident
Restoring dignity in daily life
The first 100 days will not solve every problem. But they will show the direction of the government: not noise, not excuses, not drama — delivery.
Simplify licensing, reduce harassment, open clear support channels for traders.
Clear reporting channels and visible action against extortion in markets and trading zones.
Identify and begin work on the worst choke points and drainage problems.
Prioritize the most underserved settlements — repairs, fair pricing, public schedules.
A transparent pathway for SMEs to supply county government and major institutions.
Residents know what is being done, where, when and at what cost.

This campaign is about building, not destroying.
A serious campaign must speak clearly. A serious government must report back. We will not use this page only for publicity — we will use it to inform, listen, explain, and report back.
Visits, meetings, town halls and listening tours across Nairobi.
Water, roads, garbage, markets, youth jobs, women's safety, health, cost of living.
Speeches, statements, opinion pieces and direct messages.
Local activity and issues from Nairobi's 85 wards and 17 constituencies.
If there is no water in your estate, tell us. If garbage is piling up, tell us. If streetlights are out, tell us. If traders are being harassed, tell us. Your voice helps shape this campaign.
WHAT YOU CAN REPORT
We will listen. We will organize the issues. We will identify patterns. We will use them to build solutions. Nairobi must be governed from the ground up.
Four ways to talk to us — whether it's a pothole on your street, a question about the manifesto, or you just want to volunteer. No bureaucracy. Just answers.
